FarmWild is hiring a part time Aquaponics Farm Assistant (3 Days, 12-20 hours per week)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and adaptable Farm Assistant to join our crew. This is a start-up environment, which means every day looks different and you will be asked to wear many hats. Responsibilities are varied and include fish care and maintenance, plant seeding, transplanting, harvesting, packaging, and delivering, and lots of cleaning, all while listening to the grateful dead on the farm speaker system (The plants require that).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Abilities

  • The Start-Up Mentality: The ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment. You possess a solutions-focused attitude when things don't go according to plan.

  • Science-Minded Curiosity: A genuine interest in ecology, biology, or the environmental science that powers a closed-loop aquaponic system.

  • Team-Oriented Mindset: A strong desire to work intimately with a small crew where everyone relies heavily on each other.

  • Observation & Attention to Detail: The ability to notice small changes in plant health (like early signs of pests or nutrient deficiency) and strict adherence to packaging and food safety standards.

  • Physical Capability: Comfort with performing highly repetitive manual tasks. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, and safely lift up to 50 lbs in a warm, humid environment.

  • Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and trust.

  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for local deliveries
